Foster Leaf
Research Intern,
Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes
Foster Leaf is a fourth-year
undergraduate at ASU studying political science and justice studies with
an emphasis on public policy. Prior to college, Foster spent four years
with the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Sergeant. During his
academic career, Foster had an internship with the Phoenix Police
Department as a criminal analyst, where he conducted a research project
that ultimately led to new public policy on sex offenders in the city of
Phoenix.
Foster’s most general interests are in the areas of justice, public
policy, and promoting civic participation. His current work at CSPO
focuses on energy transformation systems and societal impact. He is
looking at the unintended consequences, both good and bad, that come
with our desire to switch from fossil fuels to alternative energy
sources. Foster hopes that his research will give policy makers the
information needed to make informed decisions about energy policy. |
