Hannot Rodríguez

Exchange Scholar, CSPO

Hannot Rodríguez came to CSPO as an exchange scholar in January 2009, and is funded with a postdoctoral fellowship through the Basque Government’s Department of Education, Universities and Research. He received a doctorate in philosophy from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in November 2007. His main research line is focused on risk governance, more precisely on the exploration of the socio-technical dynamics from which risk and safety are constituted in scientifically and technologically advanced societies, with a special attention on research and development fields considered as strategic for socio-economic development, such as biotechnology or nanotechnology. He also is working on the analysis of the degree of integration of social and ethical issues in the scientific and technological public innovation systems in Europe and the United States.
