Brittany Crow

Research Intern

 

Brittany graduated from Bard College in December of 2006 as a double-major in history and Asian studies. Her thesis is entitled, "The Hybridism and Simultaneity of Chinese and Western Influences: Shanghai's consumer culture and retail organizational models during the Republican period."

 

In addition to Chinese language and history, Brittany's primary interests include the politics of globalization and the role of climate and environmental degradation in rural rebellion.  She will begin her M.A. in Regional Studies: East Asia at Harvard University this fall.
