Repositories of Global Knowledge: Global Environment

From climate change and biodiversity loss, to natural resource depletion and waste management, environmental problems are increasingly framed as global issues demanding global solutions. Technological advance has allowed single entities to gather many forms of information on a global scale, while increased computing power has contributed to major advances in modeling at the global scale.  At the same time a variety of international organizations simultaneously produce and rely upon global framings of these problems to maintain their relevance. These social, political, scientific and technological shifts are important to the way in which we frame our problems and their solutions.
