Jennifer Brian
CSPO PhD graduate 2011

 

Jenny Dyck Brian was a graduate student in the Bioethics, Policy and Law program at the Center for Biology & Society at the School of Life Sciences.  She comes to ASU from her position as a Research Associate in the Program of Biology, Ethics, and the Politics of Human Reproduction at Wellesley College, in Wellesley, MA.  Before that, Jenny worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Bioethics and Philosophy at Dalhousie University.  She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2003, where she received her B.A. (Hons) in Philosophy with a Minor in Ethics.

Jenny's research interests include: the intersection of science, politics and ethics, global health and global justice and the commercialization of scientific research. She successfully defended her dissertation, Assessing Corporate Bioethics: A Qualitative Exploration of How Bioethics is Enacted in Biomedicine Companies, on October 31st in fulfillment of the requirements for a PhD in the Bioethics, Policy, and Law program at the Center for Biology & Society, in ASU’s School of Life Sciences. Jenny is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Bioethics at the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
